Mr. Ollsen:

Teaching is an art rarely mastered in a lifetime. Since my time at the University of Texas - Austin I have strived to learn as much as I can about being an effective teacher and leader. Over my 18 years of teaching, I have worked and been the director of both public and private institutions. However, my greatest learning experience came from opening up a school of my own. By doing so I was able to see things from a new perspective and learned how to create a positive environment where students and teachers can grow. By implementing high standards, holding students accountable, and establishing a strong school culture students are allowed to develop on the whole and not just academically.

教学是一门一生难得精通的艺术。从我在德克萨斯大学奥斯汀分校的时候起，我就一直努力学习如何成为一个有效的老师和领导者。在我18年的教学生涯中，我一直在公立和私立机构工作并担任负责人。然而，我最宝贵的学习经验来自于开办一所自己的学校。通过开办自己的学校，我能够从一个新的角度看问题，并学会如何创造一个积极的环境，让学生和老师能够共同成长。通过实施高标准，让学生起负责任，建立深厚的校园文化，学生得以全面发展，而不仅仅是在学术上。

Ms. Watts:

My name is Melissa Watts and I am originally from Texas. I am the Vice Principal and am currently teaching Geometry, Computer Applications, and Health. I have taught many areas of math and other subjects while teaching in China. I enjoy teaching at Mountain View as this is my 5th year here. This is my 14th year teaching which is a passion of mine.  I have enjoyed so many new experiences here in China. Learning more about the culture and the history of China has been amazing and eye-opening. In my spare time, I volunteer at a local animal shelter, support the students in events outside of the classroom and enjoy meeting new people from all over the world.

我叫梅丽莎·沃茨，来自德克萨斯州。我是副校长，目前教授几何、计算机应用和健康。我在中国教过很多数学和其他学科。我喜欢在蒙特威教书，这是我在这里工作的第五年了。我已经当了14年的教师，教学是我的激情所在。我在中国有很多新的经历。更深入的了解中国文化和历史是令人惊奇和大开眼界的。在我的业余时间，我在当地的动物收容所做志愿者，在课外活动中为学生们提供支持，并喜欢结识来自世界各地的新朋友。

Mr. Kraft:

I have 5 years of experience in education, teaching high school science and math in both Guangzhou and Hefei, China. In Guangzhou, I helped start a SINO-American Program, teaching AP Biology and Algebra 2 to a G10 class while working under an experienced American principal. In Hefei, I started as one of the original staff members of Mountain View working under Mr. Ollsen. Since then I have taught Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, and is now part of the administrative staff as the Dean of Culture.

Mr. Napat:

I have been teaching English in China since 2015. I was invited as a guest lecturer at Sichuan University, and instructed English MBA classes at the University of Science and Technology of China. I studied abroad at Nankai High School in Chongqing and Sichuan University in Chengdu. I like to spend my time organizing activities for Student Government as well as managing the Recreation and Health Club. I hope to instill the values of resilience and continual growth so students can reach their best potential.

我从2015年开始在中国教英语。我曾在四川大学做过客座演讲，在中国科学技术大学教过英语MBA课程。我曾在重庆南开高中和四川大学留过学。我喜欢为学生政府组织活动以及管理健身社团。我希望灌输适应力和持续增长的价值观，让学生们能够发挥他们最大的潜力。

Mr. Stitchick: 

I studied civil engineering at Pennsylvania State University - University Park, and worked in America for a few years before teaching. Since then, I have taught for over 4 years.  In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, reading, and running. During the summer, I love to travel and I have already visited 33 different countries!

Mr. Sherwood:

My name is David Kelly Sherwood.  I teach economics, American history, and US government.  I earned a Bachelor’s degree in history from Norwich University in 2003.  I earned a Master’s degree in adolescent education from St. Bonaventure University in 2011.  Along the way I served in the United States Army for ten years, attaining the rank of captain.
